Event Designers International is a full service agency with a genuine commitment to professional, affordable & personalized service. Our staff come from a wide range of backgrounds which provides our customers with a memorable, romantic Maui that not everyone has experienced. With years of experience, our consultants have earned a stellar reputation for their comprehensive attention to detail and customer satisfaction.

Listening to our clients' wishes is vitally important. Not every client has an unlimited budget and there is not an event that is too large or too small. Our goal is to provide elegant weddings at reasonable prices. We will offer as much, or as little assistance to fulfill our client's needs.

Anela Gutierrez Head Designer, President of EDI Inc.	Anela Gutierrez is the President and founder of Event Designers International, Inc. She was introduced to Maui’s Wedding Profession when she started working as a Wedding Coordinator in 1999 for one of Maui’s leading wedding coordinating companies. With much encouragement from fellow wedding associates, friends, and family, Anela pursued her own business venture. She took over a company that was in business for eight prior years. This company was called Hula Express. With Anela’s creativeness and with the help of her staff, they expanded this small prop rental business into the full service event designing company it is today. Prior to the wedding and event industry, Anela came to Maui from San Francisco, California where she was born and raised. She grew up around the wedding industry as her mother and aunt were event designers themselves. They did everything from flowers, designing wedding dresses, decorating, and even making wedding cakes. In the Bay Area, Anela was also a hula dancer and learned from world renowned Kumu Hula, Mark Keali’I Ho’omalu. When she moved to Maui she had the honor to dance hula and have her photos taken to be used in Maui’s tourism industry. You may find her photos in calendars, hula books, souvenirs items, greeting cards, and various artworks. Anela loved working as an Emergency Room Assistant in one of the bay areas busy hospitals. Here, Anela learned to always be on her toes. Think wisely and respond immediately. She also worked with the troubled youth as a volunteer case worker in both San Francisco County and in Santa Clara County where she also worked in Juvenile Hall. Patience, understanding, and tolerance are the virtues that were well practiced in this position. After moving to Maui, Anela worked for many years at the beautiful Maui Marriott Resort in Kaanapali. Her most important duty was working in the Guest Response Center where she used her valuable customer service skills to resolve any guest complaints. Anela received awards for bringing up the customer satisfaction to extraordinary levels in just a matter of a few months from her take over in Guest Response. With great customer service skills, the ability to think and act quickly, and possession of such important virtues, Anela Gutierrez and her staff will make sure that your day is a dream come true. Miranda Padua Wedding Coordinator	This strong independent "local girl" comes from an extensive management background. She has managed The Billabong/Honolua Surf Stores at The Shops of Wailea, The Oceanfront Inn, and was the Banquet Manager for The Dunes at Maui Lani. Her management background has given her great professional and customer services skills. Her goal is to make sure that all her clients are beyond satisfied. Working with Miranda is a delight. Kamaka Manley Event Coordinator, Designer	Kamaka Manley is our "Aunty Aloha". So full of love for our Hawaiian Culture, she has been our liason for knowing what is the right way to do things in respect to the Hawaiian Culture. She has a love for all cultures and has study cultural traditions from around the world. She especially admires the different traditions and ceremonies women have been celebrating since biblical times. She has made it her goal to teach these rich and purposeful traditions to women. Jessica Ramos Wedding Coordinator, Designer	Jessica Ramos was the former owner of A Touch of Aloha Productions. She has been in Maui's Wedding Industry since the year 1999. Now residing in Stockton California, she brings her extensive wedding coordinating skills to the Bay Area and neighboring counties. She has coordinated over 300 weddings and assisted on a television special of "Weddings" on ABC's Primetime in 2004. Before coordinating weddings, Jessica was a Promotion Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area for Def Jam Records. She attended events on a daily basis to promote up and coming artist signed under the Def Jam Label. Jessica's knows the Dos and Don'ts in order to make your day a dream-come-true. She is used to working on large, high-stress events. Her calmness and ability to think and act underpressure has been a asset that we have truely appreciated. She travels back and forth from California to Hawaii and will do whatever it takes to assure that your special day is stress free and perfect. Aloha Anela, Than you (Mahalo) for the superb job you did in arranging our sunset wedding on Kahekili Beach in Maui on March 9, 2004. The beach location was lovely. The photographer (Darlene Munn) was superb. She had the patience of a saint, she not only to great shots of the wedding, but also followed our requested photo list of combinations of family and friends. Darlene’s photographs were wonderful, better than we imagined possible. You were so right about Kelly, she spent almost 2 hours getting my hair and make-up just right. She knew her stuff about hair, make-up, and how to best do both for taking photographs outside on the sometimes-windy beach. My bouquet was perfection, you asked me what I did and did not want in my bouquet, and arranged one that I did not give up until the following week! Reverend Adam Gomes was wonderful, and we appreciate the way you coordinated with George’s son Reverend Todd Leupold to integrate the ceremony between the two. Aaron Kamalii’s songs were lovely, his gentle guitar a perfect compliment to the beach location. We also were glad you made the suggestion to us about stringing our marriage leis on raffia and tossing them into the ocean in memory of beloved family members and dear friends departed before we left the beach. It was a leap of faith (and as you know, may emails back and forth) to plan our wedding thousands of miles away from the location, but thanks to you, we have many wonderful memories of our wedding day in Maui.
